Privacy Notice
Who we are
Rafelson Law PLLC runs eCom.law from 2255 Glades Road, Suite 319A, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Send privacy questions to [email protected] or call (833) 326-6529.
What we collect
You give us your name, email, phone number and the message you type into our contact forms. Our analytics and advertising tools, listed below, collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, clicks and scrolling.
Messages you send us
Sending us a message does not make you our client. We treat information from prospective clients as confidential. Please do not send confidential details until we confirm in writing we represent you. By sending a message before we agree to represent you, you agree the information you send will not stop us from representing another party in the same matter, and we will not use it against you.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your inquiry, check for conflicts of interest, schedule consultations, represent our clients, send updates you request and run and secure this website.
Who receives it
Our contact forms send your entries to Clio, our client intake and practice management provider. We use Google reCAPTCHA, which checks for spam on our forms. Our email, hosting and IT vendors handle data for us under contract. We share information with courts, agencies or other parties only when a client matter or the law requires it.
Cookies, pixels and tracking tools
This website uses cookies, pixels, tags, session replay and similar technologies. They collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, the site that referred you, clicks, scrolling and time on each page. By using this website you consent to these technologies as this notice describes. You can limit them at any time with the browser and vendor choices listed under Your choices. The tools are:
- Google Analytics (Google). Counts visits and shows us which pages people read. It uses cookies and collects the activity data listed above.
- Jetpack Stats (Automattic). Counts visits and popular pages. It collects your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the referring site.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft). Records how visitors move, click and scroll through session replays and heatmaps. It masks what you type into our forms. Microsoft also uses Clarity data for its own purposes, including advertising. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd.). Records how visitors move, click and scroll through session recordings and heatmaps. It suppresses what you type into our forms. It collects device and browser data, pages visited and your interactions with each page.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google). Tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads contacts us, so we can measure our ads. It sets cookies and sends Google the page URL and the conversion event.
- Google Ads remarketing (Google). Sets cookies and tells Google which pages you visited here, so we can show our ads to past visitors on other websites.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms). Sets cookies and tells Meta which pages you visited here and actions such as sending a form, so we can show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to past visitors and measure those ads.
Page addresses (URLs) can describe the legal topic you are reading about. When our advertising tags load, the URLs of pages you visit here may be shared with Google and Meta. They may combine that information with your activity on other websites and use it for advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state privacy laws treat advertising tags like these as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We describe them here so you can decide for yourself, and you can limit them with the choices below.
